Fusion Seeks to Add Players to Exclusive USL Academy Program

Ventura, CA (Feb 27, 2020) – Over 50 Players from Central and Southern California traveled to Ventura County over the weekend to participate in the Fusion’s USL-Academy tryouts.

The event held at Ventura Community Park brought players from as far as Bakersfield and Los Angeles, vying for a spot in the United Soccer League Academy program. Designed for players born between 2005 and 2001, USL-A serves as one of the top tier youth programs in the United States. It also serves a pipeline to develop players for Fusion’s USL2 franchise and an opportunity to be seen by professional clubs.

“I was pleased to see some promising talent on display.”, said Fusion USL Academy and USL2 Head Coach, Mike Elias. “The main focus will be to bring together the best talent within the local and surrounding communities and provide them with the tools they need to improve and prepare their development to the highest level.”

Ventura County Fusion will be holding another round of tryouts Saturday March 6th at Ventura Community Park in Ventura. For more info and registration information visit vcfusion.com.
